Ocean Explorer
Ocean Explorer is fun microcruiser. It is surprising roomy and handy for 8´ long sailboat.
It´s designed to be sailed solo. If weather is nice, small daytrips with kids are possible. On past
summer I sailed it with two small kids and we even slept afternoon naps on cabin – it was fun but
tight.

It´s box shaped – so it is easy to build, but sails really well. Design
uses Michael Storer´s Oz Racers sails, spars and foils - and she can
fly!
(Same rig can be used with Michael Storer`s Ozracer and Ozgoose
– and with my Toucanoe trimaran´s rig.)
The boat is meant to be sailed with the hatch shut. If she is
capsized, you should have enough time to turn the boat upright
again before cabin fills with water, but it is not easy to capsize it - I
haven´t have manage on it yet.
